New Things

My sister had her 2nd baby girl yesterday morning.  Once again, she had her baby on her due date.  How rare is it to have one on your due date at all?  But, twice!! That’s just crazy.  Her name is Cara Elizabeth.  I’m really not sure if it’s with a C or a K.  I was able to hold her for a while on Friday.  So precious.

In other news, I am supposed to start class on Tuesday.  Unfortunately, the whole financial aspect isn’t quite straightened out yet.  I pray everything works out.

Also, I’m moving my blog elsewhere.  This one seems very boring visually.  I have also been inspired by a cousin of mine.  Her blog is dedicated to the triumphs and stuggles in motherhood.  It’s beautiful.  I feel like I should devote more time to blogging on things happening in my heart and spirit, not just the life around me.  Plus, it will help me really soak in what I’m learning about God and me.  So I’ll post the address when it’s ready!

I’m All Jacked Up On Mountain Dew!

Is the title to my blog from Cars or Talledega Nights?  There’s a little boy in my class that is sooooooo country.  He is also extremely inappropriate.  The other day I asked him to "walk inside, not run" for the 15 bazillionth time.  He ran up to me and said "ME AND KENNEDY ARE ALL JACKED UP ON MOUNTAIN DEW!"  Lucky for him I have total boy humor.  So instead of being mad, I laughed for about 15 minutes.  Then I thought, wow, he would have been perfect to play that guy’s son in Talledega nights.

Other thoughts today:

I think Emory has my father’s hands.  He doesn’t have my hands or Cody’s hands.  I was watching him in amazement a few nights ago as he built a house with Lincoln Logs.  I love watching how his fine motor skills develop over time. Rediculous, I know.  Then, I noticed, I think he has my dad’s hands.  I hope so.  I have always loved my dad’s hands. They are perfect.  They are "working" hands.  I don’t know why I like that, but I do.  Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

I wasn’t going to blog about this, but she never reads this thing.  Angela is having a baby shower next week.  I want to send all of her gifts in time for the shower.  I am working on a baby quilt for her (yes, I’m 80, whatever!) I already had my sewing machine rigged together, but now it has officially broken.  I am "sew" disappointed. (lame joke i know!) i envisioned her opening a box thinking "i know what this is" and then getting a HUGE surprise. Oh well, maybe i can steal my mom’s.

i can’t go into details, but i am so irritated about a lady at work.  for some reason she took it upon herself to be in my business 4 times today!  my business!  for no reason should any of it have been her concern!  that drives me crazy, b/c i don’t care what anyone does as long as they aren’t causing any harm to my class. ugh!

i’ll share a picture of a quilt i made. they make me happy!
