Valentine’s Day

Aw, today’s Vdayemoticon! I think that’s my favorite holiday as far as work goes. The art they make is adorable. They are just precious about the whole thing. They just can’t wait to bring the goodies to their friends. Today we had early release, so our day was pretty much over by 11:00. We pretty much passed out Valentines all day. It was great. The best part is, the kids hate weird candy. So, they always give me their peanut butter m&ms or any other fancy candy. Cody and I have a tradition of getting those icky candy heart boxes (i get a million from the kids) and take turns trying the candy in the bed. It’s great! We’ll continue that tradition and our other one of just enjoying ourselves at home tonight. I’m going to find some pictures to compare how we’ve changed over the years.

The Giggles

I think that’s what my family should be called. The Giggles.emoticon Emory just recently discovered The Wiggles-not quite as annoying as I thought they would be, but they’re pretty close. Anyway, some families should definatley be called The Wiggles. They are here and there and everywhere. Not us. We just stay at home and laugh. My (almost) 4 month old has been belly laughing for 2 and 1/2 months. It’s rediculous how much we laugh. The girls at work just can’t get enough of Max’s laugh. He gets so tickled at everything. Pretty much if you pay him some kind of attention, you’ll get a laugh. Miriam’s comment just reminded me of that consignment store I mentioned. I went the day after a HUGE sale. So keep that in mind. They have a large amount of clothing that is very organized. Of course, I found nothing. For all of you out there with girls, us boy moms go through clothes like crazy. They destroy they’re clothes. Maybe all babies are like that. I do notice though, that the girl stuff at consignment stores is beautiful. Then there’s the boy section. Not that great. It’s funny. Emory’s clothes from birth up to about 12 months are in great condition. Then he started moving and I started just tossing the clothes. Well, I tossed the stuff he played in. The church stuff looks pretty good. I did get a mirror for the car for $3 and a pack of 4 Blue’s Clue’s books for $1. They have lots of baby-toddler toys. They have new stuff too. I’m a fan of the chunky Melissa and Doug wooden puzzles. They sell those. Again, for the girls, they have a huge collection of custom bows. Really cute. They have the big ones for toddler and big girls and they have some on the little triangle clips…very exciting. Anyway, I was impressed. They have a great policy for selling stuff to them. I’ll write about that when I sell some stuff. I have to go record Emory and Max now. I’m trying to fill up the dvd, so I can finalize it. Then I have a really cute video of Emory singing to post. Yep, the Leachlady’s going to cry!
