Death to Elmo

When I was single and had no children, there was nothing in the world that I hated more than Elmo.  I’m sure everyone has some children’s cartoon character that just gets on your last nerve.  The thing is, we (parents) don’t all of the sudden become crazy Barney lovers.  We just discover that a good Wonder Pets (although I do love little Ming Ming) show will keep our children happy, silent, and still for 27 minutes.  We also love any form of DVR so we can build up a master play list of all our kids shows for our way too many desperate moments.  So, this blog’s to everyone who has heard the Elmo song one too many times.  Everyone can thank my lovely dog Molly later.

p.s. My favorite part is the eyeballs!

hmmm…

so i guess i didn’t figure out how to make that picture disappear after all.

My Jacked Up Blog

My page is a messemoticon.  I think I’ve made it my new hobby to read the forum and try to experiment on my own pageemoticon.  I’ve apparently figured out how to delete the default picture on this pageemoticon.  However, I can’t seem to replace it with anythingemoticon.  Oh well…emoticon

Valentine’s Day

Aw, today’s Vdayemoticon! I think that’s my favorite holiday as far as work goes. The art they make is adorable. They are just precious about the whole thing. They just can’t wait to bring the goodies to their friends. Today we had early release, so our day was pretty much over by 11:00. We pretty much passed out Valentines all day. It was great. The best part is, the kids hate weird candy. So, they always give me their peanut butter m&ms or any other fancy candy. Cody and I have a tradition of getting those icky candy heart boxes (i get a million from the kids) and take turns trying the candy in the bed. It’s great! We’ll continue that tradition and our other one of just enjoying ourselves at home tonight. I’m going to find some pictures to compare how we’ve changed over the years.

The Giggles

I think that’s what my family should be called. The Giggles.emoticon Emory just recently discovered The Wiggles-not quite as annoying as I thought they would be, but they’re pretty close. Anyway, some families should definatley be called The Wiggles. They are here and there and everywhere. Not us. We just stay at home and laugh. My (almost) 4 month old has been belly laughing for 2 and 1/2 months. It’s rediculous how much we laugh. The girls at work just can’t get enough of Max’s laugh. He gets so tickled at everything. Pretty much if you pay him some kind of attention, you’ll get a laugh. Miriam’s comment just reminded me of that consignment store I mentioned. I went the day after a HUGE sale. So keep that in mind. They have a large amount of clothing that is very organized. Of course, I found nothing. For all of you out there with girls, us boy moms go through clothes like crazy. They destroy they’re clothes. Maybe all babies are like that. I do notice though, that the girl stuff at consignment stores is beautiful. Then there’s the boy section. Not that great. It’s funny. Emory’s clothes from birth up to about 12 months are in great condition. Then he started moving and I started just tossing the clothes. Well, I tossed the stuff he played in. The church stuff looks pretty good. I did get a mirror for the car for $3 and a pack of 4 Blue’s Clue’s books for $1. They have lots of baby-toddler toys. They have new stuff too. I’m a fan of the chunky Melissa and Doug wooden puzzles. They sell those. Again, for the girls, they have a huge collection of custom bows. Really cute. They have the big ones for toddler and big girls and they have some on the little triangle clips…very exciting. Anyway, I was impressed. They have a great policy for selling stuff to them. I’ll write about that when I sell some stuff. I have to go record Emory and Max now. I’m trying to fill up the dvd, so I can finalize it. Then I have a really cute video of Emory singing to post. Yep, the Leachlady’s going to cry!

I Can’t Keep Up With This Thing!

So I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that when I have time to write on this blog, I would rather go to sleep.  I am sooooo tired! Cody just took Emory to Chic-Fil-A to get some dinner for us. So, I jumped on here. Actually, I was trying to change my Myspace layout, but the layouts were boring me. I feel kind of boring always talking about my kids. But, what else is there? Just kidding! Max is a crazy baby! He is growing so fast. His caregiver keeps asking me if I’m planning for a third. She has a theory that fast babies are making room for another one. Yikes! Cody would have a heart attack…SERIOUSLY. Last night we put him on his belly. He saw a toy, and he was literally pulling himself towards it. He’s only 3 months old! I’m used to Emory…the baby that just layed there for 10 months. I don’t even remember him rolling over. I work near the Mall of GA now. All the girls at work are going crazy over a new consignment store near the mall. Even the boy moms are saying that it has good stuff for boys (RARE!) Max needs an exersaucer, so I figured I would go check it out. I was planning on going today, but the idiot teenage boy at work ticked me off and gave me a headache. I think I might go tomorrow. This blog makes no sense whatsoever. SORRY! Anyway…life is good, I love my fam, and I have a headache. PEACE!
